Selection Process
The selection process for these posts will be based on the following:
Shortlisting: In cases where a large number of applications are received, the UPSC will adopt shortlisting criteria to restrict the number of candidates called for an interview. This may be done on the basis of:
Desirable Qualifications (DQ).
Higher educational qualifications than the minimum prescribed.
Higher experience in the relevant field.
By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).
Recruitment Test (RT) and Interview:
If a Recruitment Test is held, it will be followed by an interview.
The final merit will be decided based on a weightage of 75:25 for marks obtained in the Recruitment Test and the Interview, respectively.
Candidates must achieve a minimum level of suitability in the interview. The qualifying marks are:
UR/EWS: 50 marks
OBC: 45 marks
SC/ST/PwBD: 40 marks
(Out of a total of 100 marks for the interview).
