Eligibility Criteria
Nationality / Citizenship
A candidate must be:
a Citizen of India, or
a subject of Nepal, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanent settlement, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanent settlement.
Candidates from categories other than (i) must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Age Limit (as on 01.07.2025)
Minimum Age: 20 years
Maximum Age: 30 years
A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1995 and not later than 01.07.2005 (both dates inclusive).
Age Relaxation:
SC/ST: 5 years
Other Backward Classes (OBC - Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
Persons With Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years
Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
Educational Qualification (as on 21.07.2025)
A candidate must possess a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification.
The candidate must have a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate proving they are a graduate on the day of registration.
The final result should have been declared on or before 21.07.2025.
Credit History
Candidates must maintain a healthy credit history. The minimum required credit score will be as per the policy of the participating banks at the time of joining.
Salary / Pay Scale
The pay scale for a Probationary Officer/Management Trainee is:
Basic Pay: ₹48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920.
In addition to the basic pay, the officer will be eligible for various allowances and perquisites as per the rules of the respective participating bank.
Selection Process
The selection for IBPS PO/MT involves a multi-stage process:
Online Preliminary Examination: An objective test of 100 marks. Candidates must qualify in each of the three tests to be shortlisted for the Main Examination.
Online Main Examination: This consists of an objective test (200 marks) and a descriptive test (25 marks). Marks obtained in the Main Examination only will be considered for shortlisting for the interview and for the final merit list.
Personality Test: Candidates qualifying the Main exam will undergo a non-qualifying, mandatory self-report personality test.
Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Common Interview conducted by the participating banks. The interview carries 100 marks.
Provisional Allotment: The final selection and allotment to a participating bank will be based on the combined final score from the Main Examination and Interview, with a weightage ratio of 80:20 respectively.

Negative Marking
For both Preliminary and Main examinations, there is a penalty for wrong answers. One-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted for each incorrect answer. There is no penalty for unanswered questions.

Upload the required documents: photograph, signature, left thumb impression, a handwritten declaration, and other necessary certificates.

Proceed to make the online payment of application fees.
After successful payment, take a printout of the e-receipt and the final application form for future reference.

Important Rules and Guidelines
Candidates must produce their valid call letter and an original photo identity proof (with a photocopy) at the examination and interview venues.
The name on the photo ID must exactly match the name on the call letter.
Candidates must retain the authenticated preliminary exam call letter and ID proof copy to be submitted during the Main exam.
Items like mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, and any textual material are strictly not allowed inside the examination center.
