Eligibility Criteria (as on August 1, 2025)
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility requirements to apply for the SSC MTS & Havaldar Examination 2025.
Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the Matriculation (10th) Examination or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Board on or before the cut-off date of August 1, 2025.
Age Limit
The age limit for the posts will be reckoned as of August 1, 2025.

18-25 years: For MTS posts. Candidates must have been born not earlier than August 2, 2000, and not later than August 1, 2007.

18-27 years: For Havaldar in CBIC & CBN and a few MTS posts. Candidates must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1998, and not later than August 1, 2007.

Selection Process
The selection process differs slightly for each post.

For the post of MTS: The process involves a Computer Based Examination (CBE).

For the post of Havaldar: The process consists of a Computer Based Examination (CBE) followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST).

Key Points on Exam Pattern:

Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking in Session-I. In Session-II, there will be a negative marking of one mark for each incorrect answer.

Qualifying Nature: Session-I is qualifying in nature. Performance in Session-II will only be evaluated if a candidate qualifies in Session-I.
